Dr. Lisa Topolnik receives award for outstanding teaching - "Professor - Star 2012" from the Faculty of Science & Engineering of Laval University
Dr. Lisa Topolnik visited the group of Peter Somogyi at the Medical Research Council Anatomical Neuropharmacology Unit of the University of Oxford, England, UK.
During her time in the lab she collaborated with the group on the synaptic connections of hippocampal interneurons in the mouse. She will also interact with Marco Capogna and Karri Lamsa.
Olivier Camiré obtained a PhD fellowship from NSERC to continue his fascinating studies on dendritic calcium signaling in hippocampal interneurons.

Welcome to Elise Magnin, an undergraduate student who joined the lab for the research project.
She is working on the role of radixin, the alpha5 GABAA receptor subunit anchoring protein, in normal and epileptic hippocampus.
Welcome to Olivier Camiré, third year biochemistry student, who has joined the lab for a research project.
Together with Simon Chamberland, he will be working on calcium signalling in dendrites of interneurons.
